Sold. Sold. An innovative patented cobbler's anvil with 3 different positions of use: larger sole, smaller sole and heel. Great tool for an itinerant craftsman. Overall size of anvil might indicate that this design is for women's shoes. Of course the shoemaker would position the anvil on a work surface, invert the workpiece over the selected iron and hammer away. Patent date is cast as June 3rd, 1884. Weight is about 11 pounds. Nice use patina. Very good condition.
