Published 1925, This is a book for "children of all ages" and is a fractured history of the travels of a hat named Wilbur. Measures about 10 inches high and 8 inches wide. 111 ppg. Condition good. Binding tight. First end paper slightly separated at the bottom and a few other pages slightly stressed open. One page creased but intact. Edge wear to boards as shown. Inside is clean with faint half-circle stain on middle section of top edges due to a bit of moisture coming from top when book was closed. Very fanciful and colorful full page lithographs starting on page 7 and every odd numbered page ending at pg. 111. Has Book-plate of Eberhard Lothar Faber (1893-1945) and Julie Faber glued in. The Fabers came to the US in the mid-19th C., founding the Eberhard Faber Pencil Co. in 1861. Dimensions 10in. x 1-1/2in.
